About Suzie

Mother, daughter, sister, friend are just of the few adjectives used to describe Suzie, and trust me she has been called far worse in her teaching days…

After living in Florida for more than 28 years, Suzie now considers herself a native. Suzie went to the University of Florida where she completed her undergraduate studies in Sociology with a minor in Secondary Education (GO GATORS!!).  During the golden years (1996 & 1997), she had the opportunity to perform in half-times for the Gator Football games. Most notably, she performed at the 1996 Nokia Sugar Bowl game where the Gators won their first Football National Championship.  Point is, she is a die-hard Gator fan – Noles beware!   In 2017, Suzie completed her masters degree in Career & Technical Education at the University of South Florida (Go bulls?? Yeah….just doesn’t roll off the tongue the same way as Gators…)

Suzie is certified through the state of Florida to teach PreK through third grade, middle integrated grades 5-9, Family & Consumer Sciences grades 9-12, and is Reading Endorsed.  She also holds a CDA staff credential for preschool aged children.  With more than 10 years in the field of Career, Technical & Adult Education, Suzie now serves as a Program Coordinator for  International students at the local state college. She has a passion for Career and Technical Programs and plans on using her masters degree to move forward with her goal of administrating  programs in higher education.

Suzie is also a mother to two incredible little people. These kiddos keep her on her toes. And busy. Very very busy. Good thing they are cute. And sweet. And hilarious (most of the time).

Some people like to jog in their spare time, or crochet, or Netflix binge…. Suzie likes to write. So, if you don’t have anything nice to say, why don’t you grab a glass of wine, have a seat, and…..talk to Suzie. Pants, optional.
