I came back to school to find at least 100 sea monkey’s in our little tank today! Woo-hoo!
They look something like this (but these aren’t mine, I snagged this pic off the webs):
And guess what else I found? A comment from my good old friend, Amy, reminding me of this Sea Monkey Necklace…
Yes, a necklace in which you can actually carry your little lovelies around on your neck. Hmmmm…let’s just say the actual thought of this makes me want to cringe, let alone going through with something so heinous. Eeecck!!
But, yah…I do believe back in the 80’s I hoped to get a “Sea Gem” to carry around my sea monkey’s until I saw them and they scared the crap out of me.
By the way, I did give a little shudder when I saw the hundred tiny little squirmy things in the tank this morning, but it was nothing I couldn’t handle. Hopefully these don’t morph into something too scary looking or we might have some problems.
Also, I found this while searching for the sea gem. Because who doesn’t want a friendly little place where they can go and worship their brine shrimp-thingys?
PS- My theme won! Next year’s FFEA Conference theme is “Teachers plant the seeds of knowledge.” Woo-hoo!!
