36 Week Belly Pics

36 Week Belly Pics

The latest and greatest belly pics. Notice my little leaf tattoo there. The good news is that it’s not as big as I thought it could get. Yay!

In other good news, I still don’t have any stretch marks (knock on wood). I’m not sure how I managed to get this far, or big, without them. But, rather than question the why, I’m just going to be grateful for it, because as we all know I have a fear of the dreaded stretch mark.

Overall, I’m doing very well. I have the same little complaints (swelling, back pain, exhaustion, nausea) as I’ve been blogging about, but nothing new and nothing serious. I’ve been very fortunate to have nothing too uncomfortable or unexpected while pregnant.

As of my last appointment, I was not dilating and I don’t think I am now. I don’t “feel” like the baby is coming any time soon, although you never know. I have my next appointment on Tuesday where we’ll have our final ultrasound to check the position of the baby and get an idea of size and weight. In my heart I feel like I’ll probably go very close to, if not on, my due date before I give birth. We’ll see if I’m right!

Tiny is definitely getting bigger, though! She has very little room to move these days, which honestly seems impossible to me since her “apartment” looks gigantic on my body. But, she has this habit of kicking me just hard enough right in the rib area to make me flinch. I did this in class the other day and a few of my students gasped in horror until I explained to them I was not in labor.

I’m 9 months pregnant, now!! Woo-hoo! In just a few short weeks I’ll get to see my little baby.

PS- I (not so) secretly hope she looks like Matt when he was a baby. Matt was an adorable baby!
