I know there are a few of you out there who read this blog that enjoy making meals for friends, family, and parishioners in need. I thought I’d pass on this website that one of my favorite sorority sisters, Brooke, sent me.
It’s called TakeThemAMeal.com. Basically, this site coordinates meals for families that have a long term illness or injury, a new baby, a death in the family, etc. It’s awesome, cause it makes sure that families get meals more evenly instead of all at once. A friend or family member can become the “meal coordinator” by setting up the site. Then, they refer all those interested in helping out to the site to organize the delivery of meals to the family in need. The best part of the site is that it’s free!
I think it’s awesome! I wish I would have known about this when one of my co-workers got stage 4 cancer and the staff was trying to get meals together for her family. This would have been an awesome time-saver and organizer!
