In the meantime, let’s laugh at how much larger I am these days…
Not much change as far as health goes. I haven’t gained much weight in the last 6 weeks, which is a good thing. My doctor is not at all worried about this as my belly is measuring right on target for 27 weeks and Tiny has a very strong heartbeat. So, I’m fine with no weight gain.
As for the bare belly, I am particularly proud that I haven’t gotten one single stretch mark on any inch of my body, yet. I’m hoping I stay this way, but knowing that I now have my toes in the sands of the 3rd trimester, I’m just going to hold my breath and hope for the best. I have literally drenched my body in cocoa butter since January 21 (the day I got a positive test). I’m not kidding about that, either. And, please don’t tell me that creams don’t work cause I’m going to plug my ears and sing “LaLaLaLa” over and over cause that’s all I’ve got right now. Cocoa Butter is my best friend until proven otherwise.
This week I have signed up for my Hospital Tour, Breastfeeding Class, and Water Birthing Class. My Doula will be coming to the house to do a private birthing class with us but I still need to arrange that. Um, Rhiannon, when is your mom available to do this? LOL! I also registered for the Hospital today which was really strange. I mean, today I had to give all our information for the birth certificate and it hits me that I am going to be a mommy in just a few months. This is something I’ve only dreamed about and can hardly imagine. Except for one detail, and that is taking my baby home in a crochet beanie with a big flower attached to it like this. I am unfortunately obsessed with these since we got back from Vegas and luckily I have two sister-in-laws that are working on this for me because I think I will be really disappointed if I can’t bring my baby girl home from the hospital in one. I know…I am very materialistic and vain, but tell me if you have ever seen anything cuter than a baby girl in a crochet beanie with a huge flower attached to her head and then I might reconsider these thoughts.
In other news, I’ve been reduced to watching River Monsters on the Animal Planet today, and I have to admit that I was quite interested in it and it maybe even made me forget about the whole Wonder Woman 2010 costume for an hour or so. In case you were wondering, the Alaskan Horror is only a 20 ft White Sturgeon that has no teeth. So, it won’t kill you, but it could jump out of the water and knock you into freezing cold waters that will make your body seize and therefore drown you. So, horrific all the same, right?
Speaking of horrific, if you could take a few minutes to pray for my little kitty nephew, “Pishi”, I would really appreciate it. He is only 10 months old and had to be taken to the emergency vet jaundiced and with very low liver enzymes. Poor Kitty. He will be staying at the vet’s office for two nights and I know how terrible this is for my sister because I’ve gone through this before and it truly is the saddest and scariest thing to go through with your beloved pet.
Go ahead and tell me this isn’t the cutest thing you ever saw. I dare you…
