Thanks to everyone for the well wishes!

As you can imagine, Matt and I are thrilled to be on this journey to the next chapter in our family. It took us much longer than anticipated, but the time has finally come and we are more than excited for the final moment where we get to hold our Tiny Tow in our arms. “Tiny” will make his/her debut sometime towards the end of September/early October. And, YES I will let you know the sex when the time comes because there is no way in H-E-L-L that I can wait that long. Plus, I’m a planner and I would seriously start having break downs if I didn’t know who to plan for…

I do have some pictures and things to update the blog with, but for now I’ve been a little busy with my Spring Cleaning List. I’ve done all but two items, and we’ve still got today and tomorrow. Ok, probably nothing will get done this weekend with Easter and my sister being in town, but a girl can dream…

Speaking of Spring Cleaning, #2 on the list was to “spruce up” the back porch. Haha, what a joke! I happen to choose the *hottest* day of the year to date to do that, and well, being the overachiever that I am I went ahead and added a rose and herb garden to the back.

One word. TORTURE.

Seriously, I can barely bend my legs and it hurts to walk up and down the stairs BUT I’ve got a pretty little garden growing to show for it, so all is good in the world again.

Behold the beginning of a rose garden (I only got two rose bushes for now and I have room to expand if I can actually get these to grow and thrive).

Here’s my little hanging herb garden…

I got those hanging pots at IKEA. Aren’t they cuties?! Also, you will never believe this, but except for the cherry tomato plant in the topsy turvey, I planted all the rest of the herbs from seedlings! So far I have the basics: Oregano, Parsley, and Basil. I also started a couple of pepper plants since we like things spicy in my house: Sweet Cayenne and Hot Portugal. Can’t wait until I can actually eat something from my little garden!

Ok, gotta go….this Suzie Homemaker also promised an Easter Cake for the Family gathering tomorrow and well, I’ve run out of time. Too many things to do today. AHHHhhhhh!!!

  1. Mint is another one you might try – it grows like a weed, which for me is good. I normally kill everything I try to grow but the mint and lavender survived 🙂
