Thought I should root for the home team since we live here and all….
By the way, isn’t it SO awesome that they now have pink sports wear for the ladies. I look SO much better in pink than those stupid team colors they come up with. Seriously. I’m not kidding about that.
Anyway, if you want to hear my logic (yes, you do!) about who is going to win the game, or series, or whatever, then I’ll tell you the Ray’s are going to win. And, I’m not just saying it because I live in Tampa. It’s a scientific calculation I’ve used it in the past- and it works!! Seriously! Ok, so here we go…The Ray’s are going to win because…
The Phillies mascot is the “Phanatic.” He’s a a “fat furry green creature with a cylindrical beak containing a tongue that sticks out”. The Phillies themselves describe him as “overweight with clumsy feet and an extra-long beak that has curled up tongue. He has a gawking neck and a slight case of body odor.” He also rides along in an ATV, which as you all know is against baseball regulation.
On the other hand, there is Tampa’s mascot “Raymond.” He’s a 6’6″ furry blue creature, called a seadog, wearing a large pair of sneakers and a backwards baseball cap. There you have it. He has sneakers on AND a baseball cap. People, those shoe’s are made for running. If anyone knows shoes, I do. He’s ready to play ball!! Did I mention Raymond was awarded an honorable mention in the GameOps.com Best Mascot contest for 2006?
Isn’t he adorable??
